The Process
How we tint a car
Glass prep
Every window gets scrubbed and scraped inside so there's nothing between the film and the glass. Skip this and you get specks under the tint.
Computer-cut film
A plotter cuts the film to your exact year, make, and model. No razor blades on your glass, no gaps at the edges.
Wet install
The film goes on the inside of the glass with a slip solution, then gets squeegeed edge to edge until it's flat and clear.
Cure and inspect
We check every window under light, then send you home with simple instructions. Leave the windows up for a few days while it cures.
Virginia tint law
Dark enough to matter. Legal enough to keep.
Virginia sets a minimum light transmission for each window. We install within those limits so you're not explaining yourself at an inspection, and we'll tell you honestly what the law allows before you pick a shade. Medical exemptions are available through the Virginia DMV, and we can talk you through it.

Window tint questions
How long does window tint take?
Most cars are done in two to four hours. Add the windshield or a tint removal and plan on a bit longer. You can wait or drop it off in the morning.
What film do you use?
Autobahn Ceramic i3, in every package. It's a nano-ceramic film, so it rejects far more heat than dyed or carbon tint, blocks 99% of UV, and doesn't fade or turn purple. We keep it in stock in a range of shades and will show you samples on your own glass.
Will tint mess with my phone, radio, or GPS?
No. Ceramic i3 contains no metal, so there's nothing to block a signal. Cell, satellite radio, toll tags, and key fobs all work like before.
How long does it last?

Can you remove old tint first?
Yes. We steam off the old film and clean up the adhesive without damaging the glass or the defroster lines on the rear window, then install the new film.
How do I take care of it?
Leave the windows up for three to five days while the film cures. After that, clean with a soft microfiber and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. That's it.
